Carraig Mhor - (The) great rock or cliff. 6990 0140

Carraig Mhór No. 2 – In this view, which is complimentary to Corryvreckan No. 1, the carraig’s tremendous descent into the great maelstrom is seen from the northeast with the Na Rubhachan Donna on the right of the image, with Port Gill a’ Ghàrdein between. The presence of bracken on the north slopes of the great rock could indicate previous human activity eventhough it is an area influenced by the Corryvreckan and constant high winds.
