An Spardain - The roost. 6890 0075

An Spardan No. 1 – In this view from the south atop the northern end of Beinn Bhioraig’s rounded peak, the ridge of An Cruachan can be seen sloping downwards to the Corryvreckan. The area of the steepest decline onto the partially obscured Na Rubhachan Donna serves as a massive roost for various seafowls. The landscape in the nearer portion of the image contains the downslope of Maol Damh, which is denoted by the larger patch of bracken.
