Right, so you've decided you're coming to the Hebrides to see Jura-and of course her lovely sister Islay.  So how do you get there and where to stay, and how much is it and which ferry...(and a million other questions we don't have time for here at the Feolin Centre!) can all be answered by the lovely ladies at the Islay-Jura Tourist Information Centre in Bowmore, located on the Isle of Islay.

Their telephone number is 01496810254 and their fax number is 01496 810363.  You'll be chatting with either Janice or Judith--so be nice, cause they're nice!  Their email is info@islay.visitscotland.com and their 'other' web site is www.visitscottishheartlands.org.  Why are we doing a web page for them? Because we like them and we live here and we know just a wee bit more than the folks in Edinburgh do about the Inner Hebrides!

You'll come into the Isle of Islay either at Port Askaig, or Port Ellen.  So, to get to Bowmore from Port Askaig, follow these instructions:

On the way to Port Askaig, we recommend a meal at the Ballygrant Inn or in Port Askaig at the Port Askaig Hotel (featured in the Ealing comedy classic movie "The Maggie"- what's a "Maggie"...click here!)
