"The Gaelic
Landscape of Jura". The product of an epic 3 and 1/2 year
landscape photographic campaign by Dr. Gary McKay of FSC, which
generated over
46,000 raw
images, can be yours to enjoy in the comfort of your home and is an
enhanced version of the free web edition. This photographic
gazeteer progresses from the top of the island to the bottom, left to
right, and takes in all 985 place names contained on the British
Ordnance Survey's 1:25,000 scale map (Explorer 355). Each web
page includes a place name translation, Ordnance Survey grid reference
(so use in your research of course!) and a topographic description of
the image scene. Running in a browser format, one may search from
the master index list, or move forwards or backwards along the OS grid
rows. Several editions are available based on your computer's
capabilities or your research needs. At present the following
editions are available:
CDROM Ver. 1 - Contains 320x240 resolution browse images on each
individual web page, plus translations. Price: 15 pounds (30

CDROM Ver. 2 - Contains 320X240 resolution browse images on each web
page with 640 x480 resolution images
behind
each clickable browse image, plus translations. Price: 30 pounds
(60 dollars).
DVDROM Ver. 1 - Contains 640X480 browse images on each web page with
unlimited resolution images behind each clickable browse image, plus
translations. The unlimited resolution images range from 1.2
megapixel up to 8 megapixel in resolution. Price: 50 pounds
(100 dollars).

this collection contains hundreds of massive landscape panoramas and
thousands of images as well as the 640X480 web browse images with
translations. This collection is by
license only and entitles the
licensee to upgrades of imagery and information as it becomes
available. No other landscape in the entire United Kingdom has
this extensive a coverage. Price: 2,000 pounds (4,000 dollars).
The Kilearnadil Cemetary
Graves Inventory (Rel. 18 Jan 2005) - A
comprehensive inventory of the
graves contained within the Kilearnadil (Cille Earnadail) cemetary
based on a report created by the 1996 Duke of Edinburgh expedition to
Jura. The CDROM contains the original report and hand-drawn
maps. Feolin Study Centre includes several high resolution images
of the famous carved grave slabs of the Buies, dating to the 13th
century, as well as one panoramic image suitable for high-quality

The Jura Parish Register (Rel.
19 Jan 2005) - Compiled from the original handwritten documents by the
late Gordon Wright and typed on foolscap. An invaluable addition
to genealogists and historians interested in Jura. Includes
